I believe that everyone has an important story, and that all of us have stories that include pain and suffering in some way. It is my privilege to walk alongside clients as they examine various parts of their story, and to provide practical ways to make positive life changes using proven therapeutic methods. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, or other concerns, I welcome you to take the first step toward peace and healing today by pursuing Christian counseling.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as a counselor is to create a safe place where people are able to be honest and vulnerable. I hope my clients feel supported, heard, and empowered. It is important to me to see each client as an individual and to tailor our time together to meet their specific goals and needs. I seek to equip my clients with the tools they need to live the life they want, cultivate self-compassion, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I strive to create a warm, caring, and supportive environment where clients feel safe to laugh or cry, speak or sit in silence, and share freely without feeling judged. I spend time asking questions and listening to clients, answering any questions they may have, and then working with them to come up with a treatment plan. Clients can expect a collaborative relationship; I welcome and appreciate feedback and I want clients to get out of our time together whatever is most important to them.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I believe incorporating Christianity into counseling empowers people to achieve peace and wholeness. My faith is the most important aspect of my life and informs my practice in every way because it is an inextricable part of who I am. One of my favorite things about Jesus is that He was radical and counter-cultural and loved people recklessly, especially those deemed by society as “unworthy” of love. This is the Christianity I strive to live out. As a Christian counselor, I welcome all people, regardless of beliefs, doubts, experiences, or lifestyles.
