In Psalm 50:15 God says, “Call upon me in thy day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” My mom taught me this Scripture when I was three years old. I have used it many times in my life. We all struggle to reach out and let others help, but you are doing just that. You are asking God for guidance, you are calling out for help, and I believe that God will deliver you from your troubles. As a licensed counselor with over 30 years of experience, I will help you evaluate your current circumstances and accomplish your goals by using proven and effective techniques and strategies. As you draw from the power of the Holy Spirit, you will be led down the path of healing and purpose that God has for you.
With a gentle, patient spirit, I will listen with care and compassion to really understand your story and help you process through the difficult and traumatic events in your life. As a Christian therapist, I really do care about my clients and want you to know that you are safe to share whatever is on your heart and mind without fear of judgment. While therapy does require work on the part of both client and therapist, through dedication, faith-based therapy is a fantastic way to transform into your best self and improve your relationships, with God’s help.
I am a Christian psychologist with decades of counseling and mental health experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I offer therapy for children, teens, adult individuals, couples, families, and groups. My primary goal is to help people help themselves. Using a short-term, solution-focused approach, I will employ motivational interviewing techniques to help you establish clear, monitorable, measurable, and attainable goals. Whether you’re looking for support for issues related to anxiety, depression, addictions and chemical dependency, relationship problems, trauma, anger management, or other concerns, I would be honored to walk with you on the path toward healing and wholeness in Christ.
As your therapist, I will provide you with a welcoming and safe space to explore the desired outcome of your life. With empathy and compassion, I will seek to see your experiences through your lens and work with you toward holistic healing – physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual – with God’s help and direction. My desire is to walk alongside you on this journey and help you to realize the potential you have within to achieve greatness and restoration in your personal life and relationships.
As your therapist, I offer honesty, openness, comfort, and a commitment to seeking God’s guidance and direction for our time together. In John 10:10b, Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” As your counselor, I will listen for those parts of your story where you are not experiencing “life to the full” and explore possibilities for how your story could be expressed differently and with preferred meaning moving forward. Ultimately, my priority is to give my best to your process, and to trust that our mutual commitment toward your healing and wholeness will help draw you closer to the fullness of life that God intends for you.
I have a very relaxed and approachable vibe and hope to create a safe and warm environment where you can come as you are and feel truly accepted and seen, both by me and the Lord. The relationship between the counselor and client is pivotal and it’s important to have a therapist you feel like you can trust and open up to. I value laughter and humor and, where appropriate, enjoy incorporating this into our time together. I have also worked with individuals who have special needs and am perceptive, flexible, and accommodating in order to make your time in therapy fit well with your individual needs.
As your counselor, I will listen to you and your story without judgment. I will work alongside you with your best interests in mind. In our sessions together, I will follow your lead and be sensitive to your limitations. With a gentle balance, I will graciously nudge you when appropriate and give you space to process as necessary. I specialize in counseling for teens and adults, working through a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, abandonment, relationship issues, and much more. I look forward to hearing your story and watching the Lord work in your life.
I am a Christian counselor open to working with individuals, couples, and families wherever they are at in their journey. My hope is that you will experience love, humility, and warmth throughout each session as we seek to find practical ways for you to overcome the issues you’re facing. In my practice, I incorporate a variety of professional therapeutic techniques combined with faith in the Lord to bring about lasting transformation. Together we will craft a treatment plan that is catered to your unique needs as we rely on God’s help for effective change.
With over 20 years of counseling experience as well as working through my own personal struggles, I have a great deal of empathy and knowledge about personal suffering. My hope for you is that through our sessions together, you will find relief from the pain you’re experiencing and reach the goals you’ve set for yourself. As human beings in a broken world, we are guaranteed to endure suffering in some form or another – but we do not need to suffer alone or indefinitely. Through God’s Word and a biblical perspective, we can work together to find answers, understanding, healing, and hope in Christ.
I desire to create an environment where you can feel safe, seen, and valued for who you are as an individual made in the image of God. I view our time together as a chance to learn, play, risk, heal, and come away impacted by one another. I employ humor and playfulness in sessions when it is appropriate, but also feel very comfortable with intense feelings of anger and grief. I am not overwhelmed easily by big feelings, so I will invite you to bring those in with you to our sessions instead of leaving them at the proverbial door.
