About
Through the context of building a safe and secure therapeutic relationship, I offer an attuned presence while listening with empathy and compassion. I provide professional Christian counseling for teens, adult individuals, and families. Whether you’re dealing with issues related to insecurity in attachment relationships, trauma, abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, or verbal), neglect or abandonment, addiction, anxiety or fear, shame, depression, or other concerns, I will provide compassion and grace as we work to establish an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs. You don’t have to struggle alone; support is available.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as your counselor is for you to feel seen, heard, and known as we work together to identify your heartaches as well as your hopes and longings. I will listen attentively and honor your story, seeking to engage with you and bear witness to both your pain and your resilience. Though you may have experienced great harm in your life, God is the ultimate healer and nothing is too difficult for Him.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where I will listen to and engage with your story. As I build rapport and trust, I will ask you about your emotional experience so you can begin to name your heartache. Depending on each client’s comfort level, I may offer prayer at the beginning and end of each session. I do pray on my own for my clients before each session as I depend on the Holy Spirit for wisdom, knowledge, and guidance.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
Offering prayer, inviting the Holy Spirit, and integrating Scriptures is an important part of the therapeutic space I offer. I cannot heal anyone – God is our Ultimate Healer through the blood of Christ Jesus. My faith and spiritual walk correlates to how I will sit with others as I seek to resemble Christ and grow in the fruit of the Spirit. Practicing with a faith-based lens means I have faith that God will heal as I continue to pray and seek direction from Him.
