About
Past clients have described me as approachable, calm, and empathetic. As your therapist, I will offer a fresh perspective to the problems you’re facing while still maintaining an objective, nonjudgmental approach. I will support you in your wellness goals by having regular check-ins to determine what’s working and what’s not. Together we will collaborate on a treatment plan that is catered to your needs and concerns. When it comes to treatment, I like to think outside the box in order to find the most effective therapeutic approaches that work for you.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As your counselor, my aim is to help you find balance in your life – spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I have a passion for working with families to achieve cohesion and helping spouses reach a place of relational harmony. My main goal in the therapeutic relationship is to peel back the lies and speak the truth of God over my clients. My hope is that when you leave a session, you will feel capable of managing life’s struggles with the tools provided in therapy.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a confidential, calm, non-judgmental space where we can work together to create realistic goals that foster self-worth and personal growth. As a Christian counselor, I offer clinical insight as well as spiritual. I will point you to Scripture, which is the source of all wisdom and knowledge, while also offering tried and true psychological modalities to help foster mindfulness, emotional regulation, and strong boundaries. Prayer during the session is optional, but welcome.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I believe that the spiritual, emotional, and physical are all connected, and to neglect one is to neglect the others. When we as humans neglect our relationship with our creator by seeking after other things and putting them before Jesus, we often find ourselves in a condition of emotional turmoil.
Jesus referred to himself as THE way, THE truth, and THE life. When we draw near to God, the voices from false narratives and identities that the world imposes are overcome with the truth. When we hold to the truth, symptoms of conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and others become more manageable. Combining what Scripture says with proven modalities meant to help with distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and intrusive thoughts will lead to a more complete therapeutic experience.
